What is bStable's deal?
In crypto, change is constant. The price volatility of most cryptocurrencies has hindered the development of decentralized finance. Because of this, Stablecoins have become an essential ingredient of the crypto pie and have been one of the main foundations upon which DeFi has been built on so far.
Hundreds of DeFi products across blockchains rely on stablecoins as safe-haven assets and hundreds of thousands of users are already using decentralized protocols to earn a higher interest on their stablecoins than is possible on their fiat. While stablecoins and DeFi have opened the doors to a new world of finance, there are many financial processes that remain undisrupted by stablecoins and cryptocurrency in general.
Cryptocurrency payment solutions, for example, have yet to gather mass adoption. bStable’s strives to fill this gap with a **payment solution that is trust-less and non-custodial, and easy to use.**

## How much BST should I expect to get from Pay to Earn feature?
Pay to Earn BST reward is based on:
1. The dollar amount of payment made by the user, where each stable coin is considered a dollar
2. The accumulated dollar amount of payment made across the platform
3. The total amount of unclaimed BST available for payment reward

# Protocol Overview
How swaps, liquidity pools, and payments work on bStable
## Payments
bStable's payment protocol is the main innovation by the bStable team and the main differentiator from other DeFi products.
bStable payment protocol is its introduction of '**Pay to Earn**'. Anytime someone uses bStable's Pay feature they receive will receive a reward in BST, the bStable DAO governance token.
As of launch, bStable's payment feature is limited to sending payments. The pay feature currently supports USDC, USDT, and BUSD but will support more currencies in the future as more DEXs are integrated into the payment protocol. \
\
In the future, bStable's payment feature will be extended to an integrate-able payment widget, as well as other formats, including seller tools. bStable's payment feature's goal is to make payments free, easy, and trustless while rewarding those who use it.
# BST
Learn more about the bStable DAO token, BST.
**The bStable DAO token (BST) is a BEP-20 token on Binance Smart Chain that will act as the governance token for the bStable DAO. BST will also incentivize participation in the protocol through Pay to Earn.**
## **Use Cases**
Soon, BST holders will also be able to use BST for the following:
* **Governance voting**: Governance will be implemented on two levels via a DAO: product-level governance and finance-level governance. \
\
Product-level governance will allow BST token holders to govern key protocol parameters of specific products, while finance-level governance will allow BST token holders to govern how the portfolio of BST products interoperates.
* **'Membership' Discounts**: Users who hold a certain amount of BSC token will benefit from discounts on bStable’s fees.
* **Paying for protocol fees**: Users will be able to pay bStable’s protocol fees in BST itself.
## **Basics**
* Block Rewards: 6.5 BST/Block
* Block Time: 3 seconds/Block
* Total supply: around 118 million
* Dev Fund: for every 1 BST minted, an extra 0.1 BST is minted for the dev fund.
## **Details**
The BST token's contract has built-in scarcity and is meant to make BST creation gradually slow down. According to the contract, BST will be distributed as follows:
* 10,000,000 BST will be pre-mined on launch day and will be distributed primarily among institutional investors (6,000,000 BST). The rest will be used for initial operations such as IFOs (Initial Farm Offerings) and other marketing activities (4,000,000 BST).
* For the first 'quarter' of a year (91.25 days) after launch (starting on May 18th, 2021), 6.5 BST will be minted per block. \
\
At a rate of 28,800 blocks per day, a total of 17,082,000 BST will be minted in the first 91.25 days.
* On every 'quarter' thereafter, the BST minted per block will be divided by $$2^{1/4}$$ or 1.18920711500272\
\
In total, excluding the 10,000,000 pre-mine and the extra 10% for the developer fund, **53,682,008** **will have been minted a year after BST's launch.**
In other words, on launch, 6.5 BST will be created in every block on Binance Smart Chain. Gradually each quarter, the amount of BST created in every block will reduce.
### Development Fund
In addition, for every 1 BST minted, an additional 0.1 BST (10%) will be minted and set aside in a development fund to ensure the long-term viability, growth, and sustainability of bStable.

**The total distribution**, including the dev fund and the initial launch day release, will be as follows. For the purpose of this demonstration, the table below only shows BST issuance for the next 4 years. The chart below shows BST issuance for the next 8 years and shows the curve of diminishing BST issuance as it becomes more scarce over the years.

# Connect Your Wallet
bStable currently supports connections from a variety of wallets. While tutorials are only currently available for MetaMask, there will be tutorials for more wallet types in the future.
### Step 1: Connect Your Metamask Wallet with BSC
If you don’t already have a Metamask Wallet, check their [official website here](https://metamask.io/)!
Once Metamask Wallet is set up, open it and select network.
Select **Custom RPC** and configure the network as follows:
**Network name:** Binance Smart Chain
**Added RPC URL:**
**ChainID:** 56
**Symbol:** BNB
**Block Explorer URL:**
Make sure you **deposit some BNB** into your wallet on the Binance Smart Chain Network and you will be ready to go!

### **Step 2: Connect your BSC Metamask Wallet with bStable**
Go to[ bStable.finance](https://bstable.finance/home/), click “connect wallet” on the upper right-hand corner and select Metamask.
MetaMask extension will pop up, select a wallet on the BSC Network!
Once successful, your Metamask wallet should display **“Connected”** on the upper right left corner. Make sure it is on the Binance Smart Network!
Now you are all set up to use all of bStable!

# Make Payments get BST
Payment Mining
### Step 1: Approve Payment
Input amount and select desired currency for payment. Then select "Approve".
Once you select "Approve", a confirmation box will pop up. Notice the 3% fee will be automatically added to the amount.
*Note: You will only be able to use the amount you approved or less. If you want to exchange a larger amount you will have to approve the large quantity again. You can select “Infinity Approval” to skip all future approval for this currency.*
Once you select "Continue", your Metamask wallet extension will pop up. Review and confirm your transaction!
### Step 2a: Send Payment without Swap
Input the receiver address and select "Pay"!
Follow the instructions on the Metamask pop-up window to review and confirm your payment.
### Step 3: Claim your BST Reward
Select "Claim" to Claim your BST reward. Follow the instructions on the Metamask pop-up confirm.
Once you claim, your BST balance should be updated correspondingly.
# The bStable DAO
bStable's community governance protocol
bStable’s stablecoin AMM and its ‘savings accounts’ along with its payment protocol are built to be decentralized, community-owned, non-custodial products which can be integrated into other decentralized finance products. As such, the goal of the bStable team is to ultimately hand over governance of the protocols to the community of BST holders, while continuing to update the user interface and develop new products on top of the core payment protocols.
While the DAO won’t be live upon launch, it is scheduled to go live within 2021.
Once it is live, the bStable DAO will make decisions regarding any potential changes to the protocol, including but not limited to changes to the fee structures, reserve allocation, and BST distribution.
